Fear of Cancer Recurrence Support

Book a SlotConfidential • Video, Audio or In-Person Clinic

After completing cancer treatment, many patients continue to experience worry or fear that the cancer may return. Our fear of recurrence counselling provides psychological support to cancer survivors experiencing ongoing anxiety, uncertainty or distress related to the possibility of recurrence. We help patients recognise thoughts, situations and physical sensations that may trigger these fears and understand how these thoughts can affect their daily lives.

Counselling provides strategies for managing anxiety associated with follow-up appointments, scans, medical reviews and changes in physical symptoms. We help patients develop healthier ways of responding to uncertainty without allowing fear to control everyday activities. Support focuses on rebuilding confidence after treatment, reconnecting with meaningful aspects of life and maintaining appropriate awareness of health without constant worry.
